I want to grant a wish…

Every single year, we see news stories about Grinches who break into homes and steal Christmas presents.  But, to me, the skeeviest ones of all are those who steal from people who are truly in need.

One such incident happened right here in New England, and I am outraged.  I blogged about it HERE.  I saw the story reported on FOX-25, if you missed it, you can see a video of it HERE.

This family in Plymouth was to get $350 worth of gift cards from a local charity.  But the package was inadvertently delivered to the wrong house, and the person who got them went and spent them all.  Surely she must have known that they were not meant for her, and she should have made sure they went to the family for which they were intended.

This family is in need because the mom lost her job…and she is also a newly-single mom to three kids, who is going through a nasty divorce.

So now, the charity, Keeping Pace with Multiple Miracles, is looking for donations so they can put together another package for this family.  They are based in West Bridgewater, MA…if you are in that area and can make a donation, please visit their website to find out where you can drop it off.

This is why I decided to throw my name into the hat for the BenSpark Grants a Wish contest.  Drew will be giving away a $100 gift card from Sears.  If I win, I will not spend it on anything for myself, instead, I will give it to the Keeping Pace charity and ask them to give it to that family.
