Deval Patrick is an arrogant A$$!

This jerk (who I DID NOT vote for, BTW) has been trying to justify all of his various tax increases, toll hikes, MBTA fare hikes, etc., by telling us that we must SACRIFICE.  And then what does the jerk do?  He takes a fancy-schmancy vacation in sunny Jamaica.  Not only that, but he also took a bunch of Massachusetts state troopers with him, for security.  At taxpayers’ expense.

I hope he is at least paying for his own vacation, but it pisses me off that all of these cops, who we need HERE are getting their meals and lodgings paid for.  And you KNOW that they are staying in whatever fancy-schmancy hotel that the governor is staying at.  Something tells me that he is NOT staying at the Motel 6 or even the Holiday Inn.  No way would he ever be looking for good travel deals, only the best for our governor, right?

I feel that, given the economic climate, if he wants to take a vacation and wants security, he should pay for that out of his own pocket.  He expects US to “sacrifice”, but does he?  Hell, NO!

I never cared for the guy, as I said, I did not vote for him.  I was especially glad of this when one of the first things he did after taking office was to buy himself a Cadillac.  And spend a ton of money redecorating his office in the State House.  There was so much uproar over those things, that he ended up reimbursing the state for those things.

I wonder if he is taking a salary.  One thing I repected about Mitt Romney is that he opted not to take a salary when he was governor.  neither did his lieutenant governor, Kerry Healey.    Not that this made a lot of difference in the state budget, but it was a gesture of good will on their parts.  Neither one of them needed the money, they are both millionaires, as is Deval Patrick.

But even if Deval was taking a salary, is this REALLY a good time to be taking a pricey vacation?  Shouldn’t he perhaps lead by example, and SACRIFICE?  When one is in public office, especially during tough economic times, a little bit of *leading by example* could go a long way.

Can you say *one term governor*, boys and girls?  I knew that you could!
